Europa League Schedule Announced
Format and Dates
The Europa League group stage will begin on September 15th and conclude on November 3rd. The knockout stage will commence in February and culminate in the final on May 31st in Budapest.
Pot Allocation
The teams have been allocated into four pots based on their UEFA coefficients. Pot 1 contains the highest-ranked teams, while Pot 4 contains the lowest-ranked teams. The draw for the group stage will take place on August 26th.
Group Stage
The 32 teams will be drawn into eight groups of four. Each team will play six matches, two against each of their group opponents. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage.
Knockout Stage
The knockout stage will consist of a round of 32, a round of 16, a quarterfinal, a semifinal, and a final. The matches will be played over two legs, with the away goals rule in effect.
Final
The final will be played at the Puskas Arena in Budapest on May 31st. The winner of the final will qualify for the UEFA Super Cup and the UEFA Champions League.
