Crocodiles Protect Dog From Pack of Animals
Mother Nature's Compassion
In a heartwarming display of interspecies compassion, a group of crocodiles came to the aid of a dog that was being chased by a pack of feral animals.
Dog Sought Refuge in River
The incident occurred in India when a young dog was cornered by the feral animals and jumped into a river for safety. The three crocodiles, which were in the water, immediately swam towards the dog and formed a protective barrier around it.
Feral Animals Retreated
The feral animals were seen circling the crocodiles and the dog, but they eventually retreated when they realized that the crocodiles were not going to let them harm the dog.
Experts Say It's Rare
Researchers who published the incident in the Journal of Threatened Taxa said that such behavior from crocodiles is rare, but not unheard of. They believe that the crocodiles may have recognized that the dog was in distress and intervened to protect it.
