Assistant Referee Under Investigation After Robertson Incident

PGMOL and FA Launch Probe

Assistant referee Constantine Hatzidakis will not be involved in any matches while the investigation is ongoing

The Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) and the Football Association (FA) have launched an investigation after assistant referee Constantine Hatzidakis appeared to make contact with Liverpool defender Andy Robertson during the Premier League match against Arsenal on Saturday.

Hatzidakis has been removed from officiating duties while the investigation is conducted.

The incident occurred in the first half of the match, when Robertson was attempting to retrieve the ball from behind the Arsenal goal. Hatzidakis appeared to push Robertson away with his hand, causing the Liverpool player to fall to the ground.

The PGMOL and the FA will now investigate the incident to determine whether any disciplinary action should be taken against Hatzidakis.

This is a developing story and we will provide updates as they become available.
